Hiking or Nordic Walking
... with or without sticks – it’s up to you!
You can start your hike right outside the hotel.
Just follow the arrows (some with kilometer markings) and you can’t go wrong
– no need for map-reading skills (although, of course, we gladly provide you with one!).
The Nordic Walking Park Lueneburger Heide consists of 17 new, well signposted routes
ranging from 6.5 to 18.5 km in length and graded at three levels of difficulty.
Hanstedt is one of three starting points, along with Undeloh and Egestorf.
Hire your sticks directly from the hotel!

– although you may encounter the the occasional carriage, a few riders on horseback, or hikers…
Fresh air and pristine nature await you on extensive bike rides through the moorlands.
There are plenty of places to stop for a lovely picnic.
We can provide you with lunch packets or tips for nice restaurants en-route.

Scharnebeck Ship Lift
One of the world’s largest ship lift – watching giant barges being lifted “weightlessly”in the air is a truly impressive sight.
