Attention – the place Hanstedt is more common in Germany. So to make sure you arrive in our wonderful Hanstedt near Harburg, don’t forget to check the postcode – 21271 Hanstedt.

We have plenty of free parking spaces for motorbikes and cars for our guests. Some of these are also covered.

We have installed four electric charging points for electric cars at our hotel.

Yes, the nearest railway station is in Buchholz in der Nordheide. The nearest ICE railway station is in Hamburg-Harburg. There are also buses from Harburg and Buchholz to the hotel. From Buchholz i.d. Nordheide, for example, take line 4207 to Hanstedt/Kirche. From there, follow the signs to “Ringhotel Sellhorn” for approx. 300 metres. If our shuttle is available, we are happy to offer our holiday guests a free transfer from Buchholz regional train station.

Topic: Hotel and overnight stay

Our reception is open for you every day from 7 am to 10 pm.

Check-in is possible at the Ringhotel Sellhorn from 2 pm. Check-out should take place by 11 am. If you do not wish to end your holiday so early, please contact us. In any case, you can still use our spacious wellness area throughout the day.

Yes, so that we can make your stay as pleasant as possible and have enough time to equip your room with extra beds, please let us know at the time of booking if you are traveling with children.Please let us know the age of your child so that we can provide a suitable bathrobe. In June and July, children up to the age of 16 receive an extra bed in their parents’ room free of charge.

In our spacious country house rooms with and without balcony as well as in our suites it is possible to add extra beds. Should you require additional beds, please contact us.

  • Cozy bathrobe rental and a matching bath bag with sauna towels (additional towels are available at the hotel reception)

  • Parking directly at the hotel, some of it covered
  • Free Wi-Fi (German hotspot) throughout the hotel
  • Fitness room with high-quality equipment from Technogym

Yes, we have 3 rooms that are equipped with special design flooring. Dogs are not allowed to stay in these rooms for allergy sufferers. Please feel free to contact us on this subject.

Yes, pets are allowed in certain rooms at Ringhotel Sellhorn. We charge a fee of €15 per night. Please bring your own food and a place to sleep, such as a basket or blanket. Dogs are not allowed in the restaurant.

Yes, you can use our German Hotspot hotel network free of charge throughout the hotel. For better comfort we have increased the performance to 200 Mbit.

Topic: Restaurant and catering

The restaurant is open Monday to Friday from 17:30 to 21:00. On Saturday and Sunday and on public holidays the opening hours are 12.00 noon to 9.00 p.m. We also serve coffee and cake. We do not have a day off.

The Sellhorn restaurant is located at Winsener Straße 23 in 21271 Hanstedt. The entrance is on the main road. Restaurant guests can use the free hotel car park directly in front of the hotel. Table reservations are gladly accepted under 04184 8010.

You can have breakfast at the Sellhorn daily from 7 am to 11 am. Breakfast is included for hotel guests.

We offer our half-board menu as a 4-course meal. This includes a starter, salad from the buffet, a main course from our daily changing dishes (a total of 3 different dishes to choose from) and a dessert. So there is something for every taste.

Our restaurant is also open for day guests at all times. We recommend booking a table at the weekend. Are you planning a party? Please contact us. We will help you with the planning.

Cakes and tarts are home-baked at the Sellhorn. Ask our service staff about the daily changing cake and tart specials. You can find a seat in the cosy coffee garden or in the restaurant.

At the Sellhorn we endeavour to cater for all dietary requirements. We offer a vegetarian dish on the menu every day. You will find lactose-free products on the breakfast buffet. We are happy to provide gluten-free bread. Special menus, buffets and further information on allergies are available on request.

The Sellhorn restaurant is completely barrier-free and has a wheelchair-accessible toilet in the public area. Access to the terrace is also barrier-free.

Dogs are not allowed in the restaurant. Please leave your four-legged family members at home or in the car when you visit the restaurant.

Topic: Wellness and SPA

You can enjoy treatments in our retreat every day from 9 am to 6 pm. On Thursdays, our wellness experts are even available until 8 pm. You can use the swimming pool daily from 7 am to 10 pm.

The Ringhotel Sellhorn has an indoor swimming pool with a depth of 1.30 metres in the spa area. The temperature is a pleasant 29 degrees. There are plenty of sunbathing and wellness facilities. In the sauna area you will find a steam sauna, a bio sauna and a Finnish outdoor sauna with panoramic windows. You can relax in the experience shower with light and fragrance. A water and tea bar is available free of charge during your stay.

Use is included for hotel guests. You will find sauna towels and bathrobes in your wardrobe. There are no additional towels in the swimming pool. If you need more, we will be happy to help you at reception. Towelling slippers are also available at reception.

External guests are also very welcome. Please bring your own towels and bathrobes for the sauna. The entrance fee is 20 €. External guests pay €10 to use the swimming pool at the Ringhotel Sellhorn. There are also 10 and 20 tickets available. Please do not hesitate to contact us.

Children up to the age of 14 are only allowed in the swimming pool when accompanied by an adult. Discover our many wellness offers at the Ringhotel Sellhorn at any time.

In order to prepare your holiday in the best possible way, please plan your wellness treatments well in advance. The earlier, the greater the chance that we can fulfil your desired date.

Yes, you can borrow floor mats in the fitness room or bring your own mat. Depending on availability and the weather, you can do the exercises in the fitness room or in your hotel room or do yoga in the garden, on the edge of the Lüneburg Heath, with a view of nature.

Topic: Payment and booking

We are happy to accept cash on departure. Card payments via Maestro, MasterCard, VISA and AmEx are possible. The bank details are: IBAN 77 2075 0000 0018 004 48.

A deposit or advance payment is not necessary. We will be happy to invoice your stay in full at the end.

We are happy to accept room changes and cancellations free of charge. Different conditions apply for groups, conferences and reservations for private parties.

Topic: Excursions and leisure activities

Enjoy your golf holiday in the Lüneburg Heath at the Ringhotel Sellhorn. The nearest golf courses are in Buchholz and Hittfeld. Both are only about 15 minutes away. Further golf courses and information can be found at Activities in the Lüneburg Heath Golf.

Hamburg city centre is just 50 kilometres from Hotel Sellhorn. The beautiful half-timbered town of Celle can be reached by car in 1 hour and 15 minutes (100 km) and the salt city of Lüneburg is around 40 kilometres from the hotel.

The nearest heathland is Töps-Heide. This can be reached on foot from Sellhorn in around 30 minutes. It takes about 15 minutes by bike. You will find beautiful large heathland areas in Undeloh. Simply hire bikes at the Ringhotel Sellhorn and enjoy the one-hour cycle tour (12km) past romantic beech and birch forests. In Undeloh you can take a short break and stroll through the small community in the middle of the Lüneburg Heath.

At Sellhorn we are happy to offer you hire bikes and e-bikes. The charges are available on a daily and half-day basis.

Yes, charge the batteries of your e-bikes overnight in our garage. The parking spaces and lockable charging facilities can be used free of charge by our hotel guests.

Topic: Accessibility in hotels and restaurants

The Ringhotel Sellhorn has been awarded the “Reisen für Alle” certificate and is recommended by Reiseland Niedersachsen: “The nationwide standardised labelling and certification system “Reisen für Alle” stands for detailed and verified information in the area of accessibility. The reliable and transparent data is collected by trained assessors and evaluated according to clear criteria in terms of accessibility and usability.”

  • Designated parking spaces for people with disabilities are available in front of and behind the hotel (230 cm x 410 cm and 250 cm x 420 cm).
  • The hotel is accessible without steps from the front and rear.
  • All areas accessible to guests are step-free or accessible by elevator. The elevator in the Heidehaus building is 105 cm x 151 cm, and the elevator in the Eichenblick building is 140 cm x 140 cm.
  • Doors and passages are at least 80 cm wide (exception: wellness area and some passages in the rooms are partially under 70 cm).
  • The reception desk is 113 cm high. There is a seated alternative available. The restaurant is accessible via a 3.5 cm threshold or can be reached step-free from inside the hotel. There are tables with under-table clearance.
  • Offered aids: walker, wheelchair, nursing bed.

WC for people with disabilities on the ground floor

  • The clearance area next to the toilet is 100 cm x 57 cm on the left and 21 cm x 57 cm on the right.
  • Grab bars are available on both sides, with the one on the left foldable upwards.
  • The sink is accessible for wheelchair users, and the mirror can be seen from both standing and sitting positions.
  • A changing table is available.

  • There is no inductive hearing loop.
  • In room 209, the Auetal Suite, and the Rosen Suite, there is at least one available electrical outlet near a bed.
  • Knocking on the room door is not indicated by an optical signal.
  • Wi-Fi, fax, or any other technical means of communication with the service staff are available free of charge or can be provided upon request.
  • An outgoing emergency call in the elevators to the rooms is acoustically confirmed. Alternatively, stairs are available.
  • In the Marktplatz Restaurant, the Neuer Salon dining room, and the Veranda, there are tables with bright and glare-free lighting.
  • There are tables without lamps that obstruct the field of vision or eye contact.
  • There are tables with minimal ambient noise. An electro-acoustic sound system is not present or can be switched off/regulated.

  • There is no ground indicator system with floor indicators in the outdoor and indoor areas. Inside, other architectural elements can be used partially as orientation guidelines.
  • The rear entrance area is visually contrasting with the surroundings. Glass doors are not marked with safety indicators; they open automatically. The front entrance area is clearly delineated by the hotel signage.
  • Stairs are not visually or tactually contrasting. An emergency call is confirmed acoustically. In the elevators, the stopping position is not announced through speech.
  • In the swimming pool, the pool edge is visually contrasting with the surroundings. There are shallow steps with handrails for entry.
  • In the sauna area, there are coat hooks near the sauna doors.
  • Signages are designed in readable but not visually contrasting font.
  • There is no information provided in Braille or raised lettering.
