Is tradition old-fashioned or a foundation on which to build?

In 2023, we celebrated “150 years of Hotel Sellhorn”. Our conviction has matured: What is firmly rooted can develop superbly. This is how a former village tavern in the Lüneburg Heath gradually became the four-star country hotel that you find today.

Welcome to the traditional house Sellhorn

To this day, the linden trees on the main building bear witness to the hospitality that has grown over the years. It continues in the kitchen, cellar and hotel through constant development. Always supported by the reliability of our long-standing employees, the willingness to cooperate with the Ringhotels – and the innovative spirit of our family.

Thus, the food of the Lüneburg Heath can be found in the most beautiful harmony alongside the gourmet temptations of the Hamburg fish market.

The sense of well-being in the SPA and wellness area “Refugium” is complemented by peelings and hot stone massages – while the hotel rooms and suites combine the homely colors of the heath with contemporary materials and shapes.

Everything is as natural as we move between the Lüneburg Heath Nature Park, which has evolved over millions of years, and the vibrant musical metropolis of Hamburg.

Directions: How to get to the Hotel Sellhorn

The hotel offers free parking directly in front of the hotel. We have installed four electric charging points for electric cars at our hotel.

Please be sure to enter Hanstedt (zip code 21271) in the district of Harburg (there are several Hanstedt).

A1 Bremen-Hamburg:
Exit “Hittfeld 41” via Jesteburg to Hanstedt (approx. 20 km).
Follow the main road in Hanstedt.

A7 Hanover-Hamburg:
Exit “Garlstorf 40” or “Thieshope 39″ (7 km each).
The white Ringhotels flag will show you the way to the hotel parking lot and entrance.

Train station

Reach the Hotel Sellhorn in the Lüneburg Heath comfortably and rested! Only half an hour from Buchholz (Nordheide) train station! You are welcome to use the HVV buses afterwards.

Bus

Use the HVV buses to get there. For example, from Buchholz i.d. Nordheide take line 4207 to Hanstedt/Kirche. From there, follow the signs for “Ringhotel Sellhorn” for approx. 300 m.
