Wildlife Park Nindorf

Discover Luneburg Heath Wildlife Park in Nindorf, certainly one of the most beautiful wildlife parks in entire Germany. Admire both, domestic and exotic wild animals, just a few minutes away from Hotel Sellhorn. . A big playground for children and restaurants attract throughout all seasons. A perfect excursion – the short four kilometer distance is easily covered with our free-of-charge rental bicycles.

Treetop walk

Another highlight for all nature lovers is the new treetop path in Lüneburg Heath Wildlife Park. The 800-metre-long path is also suitable for people with disabilities and leads to an unforgettable viewing platform 40 meters above the ground. Wildpark Schwarze Berge in Rosengarten

The Wildpark Schwarze Berge is located approximately a 30-minute drive from the hotel. In the 50-hectare park area, you can observe around a hundred species of animals, including native species such as European bison, pot-bellied pigs, wolves, lynxes, deer, or bears. There are also more exotic animals that are less commonly found in our regions, such as the two alpacas, Jack and Jimmi. Watch the animals up close during the daily feeding sessions and learn more about the different species and the unique personalities of their representatives at the Wildpark. For those who climb the 45-meter-high Elbblickturm tower, they will be rewarded with a breathtaking view all the way to Hamburg. And for those who still want more, they can really let off steam on the huge adventure playground, while adults enjoy coffee with homemade cake or one of the delicious à la carte dishes on the sunny terrace of the Wildpark restaurant.

Skate Park Hanstedt

If you bring your own board or BMX bike, you can let off steam here. The halfpipe is open daily. Every first Sunday of the month at 3 p.m. some guys meet here and are happy to show you a few tricks.

Are you looking for action? Then we recommend the Ralf Schumacher feeling at the kart track in Bispingen, just a 15-minute drive from the hotel. Indoor and outdoor offers provide an experience that is independent of the season. In addition to the go-kart track, there is also a bowling alley and a state-of-the-art “Bow-Motion” facility. Here you shoot at moving targets with a bow and arrow – an ancient sport in a new dimension.

Did you ever want to travel faster than the speed of light? A model of our sun system, with a reduction scale of 1 to 5 billion, will allow just that – in theory at least, and only a comfortable 15 minute drive away from Hotel Sellhorn. The Planets’ Trail in Handeloh models our solar system, stretched out over a distance of 1.2 kilometers, each planet’s features and position carefully explained.

FloraFarm – Ginseng aus Niedersachsen

Ginseng – in former times it was so valuable, that it was worth its weight in gold. For more than 30 years, the medical plant has now been cultivated in Lower Saxony – namely on Flora-Farm in the town of Walsrode, on the southern perimeter of the Luneburg Heath.
